One of the main reasons is because they are not systemised.
In other words they are sporadic; irregular; erratic; unfocussed……sometimes you do it one way; other times you do it a different way.
This will lead to inconsistent results…..and probably no results at all.
Action points:
- Create a separate system for your Sales and Marketing system…..they’re different and need to be treated differently
- List your “touch points” for your different target markets; if when you first assess it, eg 10 touch points the chances are you’ll need to make your new system 20.
- Ensure you have a software process to control this- eg Infusionsoft; Soffront; ACT; Salesforce.
- Set up a Testing and Measuring system so that you’re clear on what’s working and your ROI on the activities.
- Allocate/delegate specific people in your business to be responsible for these systems; start by brainstorming with all your team members what is needed and set specific timelines to make it happen.
Make sure your whole business understands these systems!
