Rachel Spratling has been an ActionCOACH franchise partner since March 2016

1. Who has had the greatest influence on your business and why

I think Vic has probably had the biggest influence on our business – Chris attended the Firm Builder workshop back in February as we had decided we want to build a coaching practice and a business that can work without us, but he came back focused and motivated to make it bigger and build it faster and that has been our focus for the year so far!  Thank you,Vic!

2. What is the most important characteristic an Action coach must have and why?
Resilience – as everyone says building a coaching business is a roller coaster ride and some days you seem to take one step forward and two steps back.  Resilience is important so that you keep focused on the end game even when you’re having a tough day!

3. What have you done/do you do to contribute to our shared vision of World Abundance through Business Re-Education?
I’m passionate as most people know about ActionCLUB and think this is a great way to support smaller businesses in the local community and provide them with the business education and support they need to succeed, so this has become an important part of our service offering. I also help other coaches in the community with their ActionCLUB’s so even more businesses across the country can benefit from the great work we all do in a group setting.

4. Of the 14 points of Culture which one most resonates with you and why? EXCELLENCE – this is at the core of what we do as a business and is also linked to authenticity – I think it is hugely important that we live and breathe what we teach and if we are helping clients become the best version of themselves, they see us implementing the same ways of working within our own business. If I have the mindset of delivering excellence in every interaction I have with clients, the value and results will ultimately follow.

5. What’s been your toughest challenge in ActionCOACH and how did you break through it? It was developing from being SMART to being SHARP (something that James Vincent challenged me on after about 6 months as an Action Coach).  I found the feedback difficult at first but have worked hard on stepping up, getting more focused in my coaching and being braver about digging deeper with clients, asking better questions, not letting them off the hook when questioning gets uncomfortable and being more focused on the numbers. My thanks also has to go to Chris Spratling on this one as he has been a great role model and has definitely helped me to become a more confident and results orientated coach.

6. What’s been your proudest/most fulfilling moment in ActionCOACHWinning the best client results award for the South West Region at Conference earlier in the year and having a client short listed for the Community Impact Award at BEF were definite high points but also receiving an email one Friday evening from a client who I’d done an alignment with which said “Thank you for a brilliant day on Wednesday, it’s like you’ve returned my business baby to me.”  I truly have the best job in the world!

7. What’s your next big goal?  Having built our sales and marketing team, our next big goal is to take on another employee coach which we are looking to do before the end of the year!  Exciting times.
