Are you getting 110% from your remote employees? Are they getting the extra satisfaction that extra flexibility and autonomy should give them? If not, it may be time to look in the mirror!

Discussion with a number of clients recently confirms the adage that if managed correctly “you can expect at least 110% from your employees working at home”! Yes, you will always get the odd problem employee who won’t play ball but now is a good opportunity to address this properly with training, proper communication, or in extreme cases helping employees move on to more suitable employment.

If you aren’t getting at least 110% it’s likely that you are focussing on hours worked rather than results achieved; a sign that you lack the confidence, experience or skills to manage employees remotely.

Don’t look on this as failure, but an opportunity to further develop your own leadership style. If you’d like some pointers or help with this please make contact and I’ll be glad to arrange a complimentary coaching session.
