How do you get your business to grow? Overnight success would be nice, wouldn’t it?

The reality is a bit different. The key is…

Know where you want to get to

What is your dream? Where do you want to be in 5 years? What would real success look like? 

Dare to dream, dare to give yourself the space to think about where you really want to take the business.

Start drawing what success would look like. Or use pictures. Your dream car? Your dream holiday? Your dream office? Your dream holiday home/

Be realistic about where you are

Where are you now? What challenges are you facing? Are you happy with where you are? How badly do you want to change things?

What challenges do you currently have in your business? Of these, which do you have control over? And, which do you feel you don’t have control over? Now, just stop for a bit and think about that second list. Are there things on that list that you could get control over if you did things differently, or did some learning to increase your understanding?

And finish up with a list of things that you will need to change if you are ever going to realise your dreams.

…and take ACTION!

So,  you now know where you are, where you want to get to and have a list of things that you will need to change to allow you to progress from here to there. You’ve already done the hard stuff. You’re already way ahead of most of your competitors and peers.

So, keep going with the actions and then hold yourself accountable for progress.

Test, measure, review, REPEAT!

Now, this takes real effort. What systems do you need to put in place to test and measure. How often do you need to review the plan and progress against it? How are you going to deal with set backs?

Do you need a coach to travel with you? to hold you accountable? to pick you up when things get you down?
