2017 was a pivotal year for Expert in Mind.  We made the decision to expand the business, increase the size of the team and have successfully done so beyond any of our expectations.  A combination of hard work, a team member completing a management course and signing up with Gavin and Action Coach has resulted in some amazing changes.  See figures below:

  • Activity (case files) 44% increase in work since 2016.
  • Highest monthly increase over the previous year is 56%.
  • 39% Increase in total revenue
  • Gross Revenue banked was £2.5Million up from £1.7Million, an increase of 47%
  •  Nett Revenue Banked was up from 1.42M to 1.98M, an increase of 39.4%
  • Gross profit up 19%, equivalent to £386,000.

A member of the team finished a management course in January 2017 and whole heartedly rose to the challenge of becoming an effective office manager.  We set ourselves targets for number of case openings with an increase of 20% from 2016 – aiming high!  The whole team is very driven and implementing these targets made everyone strive to achieve the desired numbers. Our total activity for 2017 increased by 44% over the previous year’s totals which exceeded our expectations considerably.

Coaching has had a massive impact on other members of the team, particularly the Office Manager, who receives a coaching session once a month. She has noticed a big improvement in her own mind set and her confidence. It has also helped provide her with the opportunity to develop her skills set, job role and develop her knowledge with regards to the business and management. Other members of the team have embarked on an exciting journey with Expert in Mind as we expand and continue to move onto bigger and better adventures together.

Gavin is an excellent coach who has turned our opinion of Action Coach from bad, after a terrible experience, to good in a matter of months. He always has a positive attitude and encourages learning at all times. No matter the request from Sophie or myself, it is never too much trouble and accommodated in any way possible.  We are all looking forward to the future and I feel very much more equipped to run a business, to grow and to work with my team to get the best from them.  Our figures prove that it is indeed working! Running the business is a roller coaster of excitement, stress, self doubt, hard work and determination and Gavin ensures he gets the best from me, and that I get the best from myself, working with me as an individual and not just as a client.
