In this episode of Small Business Success I am talking with Brendan Fatchett who is running a company called 365 Response.
Brendan has run many businesses and learned some seriously valuable lessons some of which we’ve captured on the interview.
It’s my hope that watching these will inspire business owners with good businesses to become great, and those with great businesses to become brilliant!
We spent a really interesting 45 minutes talking about the challenges of running an SME. The five key areas we discussed;
1. The need to be flexible
2. Sales execution
3. Managing your finance (cash in particular)
4. Culture (and his dislike of palm trees and swings in offices)
5. Health (with a particular focus on mental health).
I wonder if these are the key areas for all businesses actually and not just SME’s?
We also touched on fads in business and the current focus on tech entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs, Elon Musk etc.
