Leverage of other people’s time, effort and energy. Leverage of other people’s experience, ideas and passion.
It’s a huge step to take. Recruitment (done well) takes up a large amount of time. Inducting and fully onboarding takes a lot of time and mental energy.
But the flip-side is you get people who are better at the things they’re now pointed at. They are more specialist than you are (because you’ve been a generalist up till now) and your time is now freed up to focus on the things you’re strong in.
