Moving forward in your everyday life is already a whole different experience.  At the moment you may be working or furloughed at home.  Whichever, the reality is that you don’t have to dress as if you are continually having a duvet day.  Creating new routines at this moment in time with regard to everything in your daily routine will enable you to not only look better but to feel better too.

As a starting point take a look in your wardrobe and check out whether the clothes it contains bring you joy.  With all the vibrancy of spring it’s time to get rid of those dark drab colours and bring some colour into your life.  Yes even if you’re having a work day at home, it’s great to be able to dress as if you’re in the office.  A crisp white shirt and smart jacket will look fantastic for that important Zoom meeting you’re about to have.

Life is about having contrast, so whilst you can’t socialise other than with those you’re locked down with, it’s important that you create new routines, so as well as your clothes review, how well are you working at home.  What is your working environment like?  Is it a positive environment – clean, tidy and organised?  How would that make you feel to be in an empowering location that lifted your soul and spirit?  What could you do to improve it right now?

If you’re ready to build some new positive habits in your life then I highly recommend these two great books – ‘The Power of Focus’ by Canfield, Hansen and Hewitt and then of course there is ‘Atomic Habits’ by James Clear.  Post your comments in the box to let me know how you are creating new routines in your life that will live with you forever.   What colours are bringing you vibrancy and what environment brings you joy?
