Is this you: you struggle to complete things, feel you have the commitment and really want results, but your work requires too much effort and progress is far too slow?
If so it’s likely that you are distracted not lazy. I often see business owners beating themselves up when a simple change in how you work is all that is needed.
The opposite of distraction is traction. Traction requires that you fully complete a task before starting the next. If you feel a new task comes up that needs completion in order to finish the current task; I guarantee this is seldom true! Simply add the new task to your ‘to do’ list, leave a gap, complete the current task and return to fill the gap at a later date.
This is so simple but can be very difficult to follow. But please stick at it. Long term this has powerful benefits. By doing tasks when you plan rather than when they distract you, not only will you get much more done, you will also develop into a more focussed individual and reinforce your own beliefs in yourself as an achiever; one of the most powerful drivers of your success!
