From time to time, I find myself asking “I wonder what my business is worth?” When I try and work it out it’s always a disappointing amount.
Within a few minutes of speaking to Neil, he was able to show me the formula for calculating a business value. I quickly did the maths in my head and was still a little disappointed. “I suppose the only way to make my business worth big money is to make it a big business”. I voiced out loud.
“Not necessarily” said Neil. He then very quickly outlined a direction I could take my business that would make it worth hundreds of thousands or more with lots of eager buyers, as opposed to being worth tens of thousands if I’m lucky enough to find a buyer. So in just over 30 minutes, I went from disappointed to inspired with a completely new direction to take my business.
