The point is you should be…….after all its potentially the biggest asset you’ll ever have to sell.
Here are some points you may wish to consider:
Is my business saleable today?
What “business chassis” do I actually have and is it optimised for sale?
When considering these points you need to be realistic in your assessment……..and if you want to “optimise” your sales price you can only do this if certain criteria are in place.
Most times the business is saleable but not at a great multiple of earnings because so many other factors are missing or have not been developed.
