"My business life was revolutionised."

It is truly a pleasure to write a testimonial for both my coach Stuart Johnson and also the ActionCOACH organisation as a whole.

My first knowledge of the organisation was when I was invited to attend Brad Sugars’ “Business is Booming” conference in Leeds in October 2010. I was actually in two minds about attending that night as I wasn’t sure it was for me. As it turned out, it was the most life changing night of my life. Brad seemed to be speaking straight to me about the pitfalls and problems that I had encountered in my experience as a business owner. When I looked at my business, I realised that I’d fallen into so many of the trapsthat self-employed people do: I came to work every day to firefight and never got my head above water. I was always working in the business, never on it.

So that night I took action: I bought all of Brad’s books and the next day, signed up with Stuart Johnson. Over the next 6 months my business life was revolutionised. I began for the first time, setting goals, measuring EVERYTHING and basing decisions on facts, not hunches. I developed a mission and vision and communicated to my team what we were all aiming for. Slowly, we started to gather momentum.

I attended the Business Excellence forum in Portugal this year to get myself another dose of Brad. I knew from my previous experience that these events really motivate me and get me fired up for action. I wasn’t disappointed and as I personally told Brad, “no one else ever tells you that you can be a millionaire”. He corrected me of course, “not can, you should be a millionaire!” My financial year has just ended and we have doubled our net profit in the last 12 months!

We’re only 1 month into this year and it’s looking highly likely that we are on target for at least £500K net profit. With Stuart’s help, we’re getting contracts agreed with our biggest customers that lock in this profit for years to come. I’m using this massive increase in profit to further invest in Dynamic’s marketing and operations so that we can double this figure again.

We’re making a step change from a lifestyle business, to a seriously profitable enterprise that works, most importantly, without me. During all of this change, I’ve been busy setting personal as well as business goals. I now have a day out of the business each week and have more holidays than ever before. I’ve done all of this, without working stupid hours and without sacrificing my family or health.

All this has been achieved with the help of ActionCOACH. I know for a fact that I wouldn’t be in this position if it weren’t for that night in Leeds when Brad made me realise I wasn’t alone.  That all business owners faced the same challenges and that they can all be overcome.

Not only can they be overcome, but Stuart and ActionCOACH have used their experience and systems to guide me through a process of improving my business and ultimately, attaining my dreams.
