Incentives
How many business owners get it, that when their teams perform to their set goals, their business grows? Yes, quite a few. But how many business owners give goal and performance-based incentives to their teams to to help the business grow quicker? Not as many as you would imagine.
But why should I offer incentives?
My team should be working to grow the business as part of their job role! Really? Do you not think that the incentive will focus the team to push that little bit harder to receive the ‘prize’ when they have achieved?
Incentive Programmes reward employees for achievement. These incentives reaching work goals, achieving milestones or simply doing a good job. These programmes offer rewards to all employees, obtaining buy in. An incentive program is a great way to show employees that you value their input while at the same time increasing your businesses potential.
My Example
Take one of my clients incentive programme. We worked on an incentive reward scheme, he implemented it 14 months ago to reward weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance with ‘wins’ at every stage of the process, including a bottle of wine, meal for two, track or pamper day, weekend away, holiday for two.
The outcome; he now has a fully engaged workforce who have goals to hit, knowing the rewards are there for them. The team have had an input in trebling sales and doubling margin in the last twelve months. They enjoy coming to work. The give that little bit extra knowing that both they and the company will benefit. The team size is 16, with an average age of 22.
