Pauline Wright has been an ActionCOACH Local Area Manager since March 2018, as well as helping to recruit new franchise partners Pauline also coaches local business owners.

1.  Who had the greatest influence on your business and why?

Brad Sugars of course! I was lucky to be trained by Brad back in 2002 when he helped run the new franchisee two-week training course in Brisbane, Australia. WHY?  In those two weeks I learned so much about what to do and more importantly what not to do.

2.  What is the most important characteristic an Action coach must have and why?

Grit and determination.  To succeed in our business you have to be prepared to work hard in the first 12 months and it may well be the hardest you’ve ever worked.  However, it’s worth it to get clients signed up and see the positive impact you will have on their business and on them and their personal development.

3.  What have you done/do you do to contribute to our shared vision of World Abundance through Business Re-Education?

I gift business coaching time to young entrepreneurs through The Prince’s Trust and through Girl Guiding initiatives.  Empowering young people to see that every business has a chassis just like a car and that they need to understand each component so that their business or project is successful.

4.  Of the 14 points of Culture which one most resonates with you and why?

FUN!  Well, being an I/C FUN is important and is often the one thing that is missing from business owner’s lives.  Many of my clients when I first meet them are having NIL FUN in their business and in their personal lives.  They don’t go out much, they work exceedingly long hours, hardly see their families, miss out on family milestones, are tired and are typically fed up.  So who’d want to have FUN with business owners in that frame of mind?  I help them identify and inject FUN back into their lives and into their business.  I’ve even had one couple tell me I saved their marriage.

5.  What’s been your toughest challenge in ActionCOACH and how did you break through it?

Becoming a Coaches’ Coach after 3 months my initial training in New Zealand.  They were the No. 1 ActionCOACH territory at the time and most of the coaches were very experienced.  To break through the initial FEAR I phoned every one of them (55 coaches in a population of 4.5 million) and asked them what support did they or their team need from a Coaches’ Coach. Sounds simple, yet at the time these were the legends of ActionCOACH – well the NZ legends.

6.  What’s been your proudest/most fulfilling moment in ActionCOACH?

There have been many with clients as they’ve won local and national awards, however, for me personally winning the European Coaches’ Coach of the year award at the conference in Portugal.  I wasn’t expecting it so was a total surprise.

7. What’s your next big goal?

To sell ActionCOACH into organisations in Cumbria so that our systems can reach far more businesses faster.
